Today I got up at 5:00 A.M. then went back to bed and got up at 10:00. When I got up I watched a bit of TV then I had some breakfast, I had pancakes. After that we went to a bay called Coles Bay. It was low tide so there were tide pools and rocks and little crabs. When we got there the first thing we did was me and Grandpa went looking for crabs. We also looked at shells. We found a clam that was still alive. After a bit of that I went and cooled down in the shade and had a root beer. After that the tides were starting to come up so I stood about two feet away from the water and 25 min. later the tide was around my shoes. So I took them of and I started to walk in the water. I was really warm (or it was freezing and I was just used to swimming in our lake). Some other kids started to go crazy because the found a lions main jelly fish. It can sting you but to make sure it doesn’t just move away but these kids thought it would be better too try and kill it. Which close to impossible because the water was to deep to touch to bottem so they would just push it deeper. So after five min. of yelling the kill it the gave up. We stayed for about a half hour more then we went back to the boat. We stopped by DQ on the way. I got and Oreo browne earthquake. After that we went back and I colored a picture and gran went shopping. I read for about an hour and a half then gran came back and I went to a pool. There 2was a water slide and a river and pool. I played in the river pool the most. After that we we started dinner. we had chicken alfredo. After that I watched some more TV then I brushed my teeth and went to bed.
Nick your day sounds like so much fun!!! I would love hunting for shells!!!! The part about the kids trying to kill the jelly fish made me sad. I can’t imagine why some one would think it is fun to kill any living thing just for the fun of it. We kill fish but we eat them. Hope you have luck fishing when your dad gets there!! Oh, did you eat the trout yet?
Today is another hot one!! We didn’t float the canal yesterday but we did go swimming at our beach. Marci wants us to go to her house and float down a river there so I think we will do that this week end. It
takes about 5 hours. I will let you know how how it is. We are going back to the beach today.
